Group Home Living
The ultimate goal for our clients, is to assist them in achieving a more independent life. My Brothers’ Keeper, located in Shakopee, Minnesota, currently operates four Group Homes in the Southwest Metro area. Three homes are located in Shakopee MN, and one is located in Norwood/Young America MN. All of our Group Homes are licensed by the state of MN and follow 245D state statutes for Adult Foster Care and Waivered Services. We often have openings for new clients due to the success of our clients reaching their goals. Please call the office for availability.

House Features
All residents are offered all the standard amenities to help improve independent living skills. Each person has a private bedroom and shares common areas, including a living room, kitchen, and leisure areas. All houses are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure a safe and friendly environment. Each home has a van available for the transportation of residents to medical and dental appointments and group activities.
Community Activities and Group Events
My Brothers’ Keeper hosts many events for our clients to enjoy throughout the year. One of the favorite events is Camp Confidence and we take our clients to this fun event twice a year, once in the Winter, and once in the Summer. At Camp Confidence, it is encouraged to engage in social interactions with staff and other clients as well. Staff and clients have an opprotunity to go swimming, fishing, paddle boating, and boat rides.
There is also an MBK Annual Picnic hosted by MBK Office Staff. There are prizes, drawings, Bingo, kids corner, food, and lots of fun! There are so many other events throughout the year like hay rides, bowling, BBQ’s, holiday parades, and the annual ARRM Day at the Capitol.
